Our Leadership: Guided by Faith and Service

At the North 7th Street Church of Christ in Harlingen, Texas, our leadership is a reflection of our commitment to the teachings and love of Jesus Christ. Guided by our Elders—, and Andy Rozell, Chase Palmer, and Scott Pinkerton—our church benefits from a leadership model that is deeply rooted in scriptural principles and the practice of servant leadership.

Elders Committed to the Congregation

Our Elders are not just leaders; they are shepherds who look after the souls of our congregation. As the scripture says, "Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood" (Acts 20:28 ESV). This verse encapsulates the spirit with which our Elders approach their duty—they shepherd the sheep, watching over their souls with diligence and love

A Leadership of Service and Support

The role of our Elders extends far beyond administrative duties. They are actively involved in the spiritual nurturing and support of our church members, ensuring everyone has the resources and knowledge needed to grow in their understanding of Christ. Through preaching, leading home bible studies, and being available for prayer and hospital visits, they demonstrate the essence of servant leadership.

Selected by the congregation, our Elders embody the qualities of spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a genuine commitment to serving others. They are pillars of our community, providing guidance, support, and leadership that enriches our collective faith journey.

Dedicated Deacons Meeting Physical Needs

In addition to our Elders, we are blessed with dedicated Deacons who serve the physical needs of our congregation. Joe Falls, Landon Jennings, and Wayne Lowry take on critical roles that ensure our church operates smoothly and responds effectively to the needs of our community. From food distribution and building upkeep to managing technology, benevolence activities, and budgeting the church's funds, our Deacons are the hands and feet of Jesus in our daily operations.

Their service is an integral part of our church's ministry, enabling us to focus on spiritual growth while ensuring that the physical and logistical needs of our congregation and community are met. The work of our Deacons allows us to extend our reach and care within and beyond our church walls, embodying Christ's call to serve one another in love.

Accessible and Compassionate

Our Elders and Deacons are always available to the members of our church. Whether through scheduled bible studies, impromptu meetings for prayer, or visiting those in need, their dedication to the congregation is unwavering. They strive to ensure that every member of our community feels supported, both spiritually and emotionally.
